Gala Night Marks the Premiere of
"We, Brothers"
On Monday evening, the highly anticipated premiere of the short film "We, Brothers", written and directed by Renata Jones, took place in Rio de Janeiro. The event was attended by the entire cast and crew, along with special guests, friends, and family.
The 30-minute film dives into the story of two former mafia partners, Antonio (Pedro Wagner) and Pete (Paulo Pagliossa), who consider themselves “brothers” and reunite to plan a new heist. However, a conversation filled with memories and tension reveals dark secrets, exposing unexpected rivalries and culminating in a twist that leaves the audience on edge.
Renata Jones, who also produced the project, was radiant as she welcomed guests on the red carpet. She took the moment to thank her technical and artistic team, as well as everyone who came to celebrate what she described as a deeply personal and professional milestone. The filmmaker draws inspiration from German Expressionism and legendary figures like Alfred Hitchcock and Fritz Lang.
The cast, gathered at the venue, posed for photos and spoke fondly of the bond formed during the shoot. After the screening, a Q&A session allowed the audience to learn more about the creative process behind the film.
With another premiere set to take place in Los Angeles later this year, the short promises to open doors to new projects by Renata Jones, helping solidify her name in both Brazilian and international cinema.
